About the event

Violin + Vinyasa is a special restorative yin yoga experience led by Kailin and accompanied by exquisite live music from Abington Heights High School Honors Orchestra members Roman Donnelly and Sua Kim. Surrounded by candlelight, you’ll settle into slow, supported poses using bolsters, blankets, and other props as live violin music fills the room. This peaceful practice will blend gentle stretching, mindful breath, and moments of stillness, creating an experience that feels deeply grounding, immersive, and a little bit magical.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP | ABINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT

This evening is also a celebration of young local musicians and the incredible talent growing within our own community. Aiden Covell is a senior cellist and member of the Abington Heights Orchestra, Honors Orchestra, and Honors Choir, with extensive experience performing in pit orchestras for both school and regional musical productions, as well as with Marywood University and the NEPA Philharmonic Mentoring Program.

Sua Kim is a senior violinist at Abington Heights High School and a member of the Honors Orchestra. She has been playing violin for nine years and loves performing at weddings, church services, and other special events. Sua has performed in the pit orchestras for Beauty and the Beast and The Sound of Music at AHHS, as well as Gypsy with Scranton Shakes. She has also participated in the Marywood String Project and Celebration, the NEPA Philharmonic Mentoring Program, and the Marywood University Orchestra.

We’re so excited to bring yoga and live music together in a way that supports these talented young artists, creates meaningful community connection, and gives students the opportunity to share their music in a completely unique setting. Come rest, listen, unwind, and experience what happens when movement, music, and community meet.
